Caldwell FFA Gives Back!

Posted Date: 12/03/25 (10:33 AM)

Yesterday, our Intro to Agriscience class had the amazing opportunity to meet Mrs. Nina Ward outside the classroom. She taught our students how to turn everyday plastic grocery sacks into durable mats for the homeless!
Students learned how to make their own looms and all the steps involved in creating these versatile mats. Did you know it takes over 1,000 plastic grocery sacks to make just one mat? Our FFA members are excited to use any free time to continue this meaningful community service project.
Caldwell FFA is now collecting plastic grocery sacks to make more mats for those in need. If you have extra sacks to donate, please contact Mrs. Volavka — every bag helps make a difference!
