Seniors, parents and patrons,

The USD #360 Board of Education, in conjunction with the Sumner County Health Department and administration, has finalized the requirements for an outside graduation on Saturday, July 18th at 9:00 a.m. at the Caldwell Sports Complex. The following guidelines must be followed in order for graduation to take place. These guidelines can change and could be updated daily.

  • Only immediate parents/guardians and spouses will be allowed inside the sports complex gate. There will be marks on the football field designating areas for parents to watch. Lawn chairs are welcome. There will be no seating in the stands. Students will be required to rsvp a parent/guardian list to Mr. Roop through email at by Thursday, July 16, 2020.

  • Parents/guardians who are allowed to attend the ceremony will need to enter through the north gate and will be screened upon entering. Masks are encouraged. Social distancing is required. No other guests will be allowed to enter the complex.

  • This is still a formal occasion. Students are expected to dress up and look nice. Ties are not required this year. It will be hot so plan accordingly. Caps and gowns will be worn over the dress clothes.

  • Seniors will meet at 8:15 am Saturday morning at the school. They will be screened as they come into the commons area.

  • Since siblings, grandparents, relatives, friends, etc. will not be allowed in the ceremony, we will be live streaming graduation via FB or YouTube. This link will be given out later this week.

  • Seniors will be called to the stage individually for their recognition. Parents are allowed to take pictures at that time. Parents, please do not approach the stage until the previous parents have completed their pictures and moved back to their designated area.

  • All bills must be paid by July 17, 2020 or graduates will not receive their diploma in the cover.

I realize that this is not the ideal graduation ceremony for seniors this year, but it is what we can offer at this point. Plans can change and requirements in the county are changing rapidly.  Caldwell Schools will follow the recommendation of the Sumner County Health Department. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 620-845-0377.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.
