Caldwell Elementary School and Caldwell Secondary Schools are Gemini II schools. The schools were approved to launch for the 2019-2020 school year.

 

Location: The Caldwell school district covers 194 square miles and is located in south central Kansas, adjacent to the Oklahoma line with all land in the southern part of Sumner County.  The city Caldwell is 15 miles west of Interstate 35, at the junction of US Highway 81 and State Highway 49. 

 

Statistics:

  • There are 380 students in the district from preschool through 12th grade.

  • USD 360 employs 22 certified teaching staff, 19 classified staff members, one K-12 counselor, one K-12 student support services coordinator, and two building administrators. (PreK-5 & 6-12)

  • Caldwell Elementary School is a Title 1 school with a 51% Free and Reduced lunch population.

  • Caldwell High School is a 1A school as classified by the KSHSAA and is a member of the South Central Border League for activities and athletics.

  • Special Education Services are provided by Sumner County Interlocal 619. The Interlocal includes Argonia, Belle Plaine, Oxford, South Haven, and Caldwell. 

    • There are three certified special education teachers working in the buildings, along with 10 itinerant staff members that service the buildings, and 15 paraprofessionals that work in the buildings on a daily basis.
