I came back to Caldwell in 2013 as the district librarian as well as teaching middle school English and high school speech at Argonia. In 2014 I took on the preschool position in addition to the library role, getting to stay in Caldwell full-time. This year I am very excited to once again be the librarian full-time! I’ll be able to teach library/information skills to K-5 students weekly as well as collaborating with teachers of all levels.
I am married to Mr. Roop, the secondary school principal. We have three absolutely wonderful children: Taylor, Breck and Keeley. Our oldest son Taylor and his wife Mary live in Lenexa and are parents to our favorite person… our little granddaughter Hannah. Breck is a manager at Red Robin and living in Wichitawith his fiance’ Reegan and our daughter Keeley. Keeley is a 2017 graduate from CHS and is currently a junior at WSU and working at Red Robin as well. We also have a little dog named Gizmo and he is completely spoiled rotten.
I love teaching and being the district librarian, but when I’m not at school I enjoy lounging in the pool or reading. There are so many books yet so little time to read them all!
