Gemini II School Redesign Team Member-Member of district team working on KSDE school redesign to launch in 2019-2020.

KESA OVT Chair-Currently serving as the chair for USD 356 Conway Springs and Wellington Christian Academy KESA accreditation teams.

KESA Accreditation Team-Member of the USD 360 KESA accreditation team.

KSDE Teacher Vacancy and Supply Committee Member- Nominated by the Kansas State BOE president to serve on a committee to study the teacher supply concerns in the state of Kansas. (2016-present)

1:1-Chrome book/iPad Initiative – Implemented a 1:1 initiative for all 6-12 students to have access to Chrome books.  As part of the initiative IPads in the district were allocated to the elementary school to provide 1:1 iPad labs in primary elementary classrooms.  (2016-present)

Future Ready Schools-We are currently involved in making sure our school district, staff, and students have the best opportunities to be successful.  The FRS program allows access to consultants, other FRS school administrators and key staff people to come together for training and discussion of best practices and available resources. (2016-present)

DQC – KIDS Administrator Certification-Successfully completed certification from KSDE regarding administrative training for the KIDS system. (2009-present)

South Central Border League-Treasurer-Process the bills, payroll, expenses, dues, and receipts of the league. (1998-present)

Council of Superintendents-Represented the counties of Chautauqua, Cowley, and Sumner on the council. (2013-2016)

Kansas Association of School Boards - Leadership for Tomorrow – Traveled around the state to different school districts and met with other administrators, BOE members, and KASB leaders to discuss best practices in education. (2012)

South Central Kansas Education Network – IDL Consortium-I have served as the vice-chair of the committee as well as the financial committee from 2014-2017. (1998-present)

Chisholm Trail Learning Academy-Implemented the program starting in 1999.  The academy has helped over 65 adults obtain a high school diploma.  This program has now evolved into the Chisholm Trail eLearning Academy which is part of the districts’ 6-12 virtual school, and still offers adult learners a chance to complete their high school diploma.

KAL Tech Academy-Participated in activities to become familiar with technology to better serve schools and administrators. (2003)

Kansas State High School Activities Association-Board of Directors-I represented the SCBL on the KSHSAA board of directors.  I attended meetings and reported back to the league on activity items and voted on behalf of the league at the KSHSAA meetings. (2004-2007)

South Central Kansas Educational Service Center-Administrative Council-In a group at the service center that discusses curriculum, accreditation, and financial issues for member schools.  I have served on advisory committees during my tenure.  (2007-present)

21st Century Educational Leaders-Workshops designed to assist educational leaders become more technology savvy in order to promote digital learning within their school buildings and to model for staff and students. (2003-2004)

Caldwell Recreation Commission-Secretary-I serve as the secretary of the recreation commission which is taxed through the school district. (2007-present)
