My years as an educator have provided countless professional development opportunities for curriculum, instruction, behavior management, leadership, autism, and more!
I am so excited to join the team at Caldwell Schools! I will be teaching preschool in the morning and supporting students in the elementary school in the afternoon. You will see me here Monday-Thursday.
Fridays are reserved for research and writing on my own time at home. I am currently working on a dissertation and hope to complete it this school year. Call me a true lifelong learner! :)
I am starting my 15th year as an educator. Most of my teaching experience is in special education PK-12th grades. I also taught in a teacher education department for an Oklahoma university helping preparing new teachers for their careers in education.
Fun Fact: I supervised a student teacher at Caldwell H.S. a few years ago.
The many educators, students, and families whom I worked with over the years have taught me a multitude of knowledge. All of these experiences contributed to a solid foundation of teaching and behavior management skills. My goal is to put all this experience to work at USD 360 to help students achieve their full potential!
I live in Anthony, Kansas with my husband of 27 years and our two family cats. We have a son, 24, and daughter, 21. Our son recently completed his graduate degree and moved to Kansas City to begin a career in cyber security. Our daughter is a Sr. in college and is studying psychology. She hopes to work in a school someday.
When I am not at school, I love spending time outdoors working in the yard, relaxing on the patio, or playing golf. I work hard and I play hard!
