English Teacher
Mr. Wayne Greenlee teaches high school English, Composition I/II, and Public Speaking. He joined the Caldwell staff in the fall of 2014. He is also the HS Scholars Coach.
Mr. Greenlee grew up in Belle Plaine, Kansas and attended Cowley County Community College where he earned his Associates of Arts. He then attended Kansas State University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Speech/Theatre Education. After earning his Masters of Science at Emporia State University, Mr. Greenlee taught 11 years for Sumner County Educational Services, Interlocal #619 as an IRC Teacher. He then completed his secondary endorsement in English at Wichita State University, and taught 11 years for South Haven High School as an English Instructor before taking his current position at Caldwell. He currently lives in Arkansas City.
Throughout Mr. Greenlee’s academic career he has received the Who’s Who Among American High School Teachers three times, Kansas Govenor’s Teacher of Influence three times, and Caldwell’s Teacher of the Year for the State of Kansas 2020.
