Secondary Science Teacher

Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher 

Job Description: USD 360 Caldwell Schools has an opening for a secondary school science teacher for the 2022-23 school year. The successful applicant may work with other science staff to help cover  classes that include life & soil science, biology, chemistry, physical science, and middle school science, A  & P, and STEM as needed in the schedule. Some of the secondary science classes are part of a CTE  Pathway program. 

Assistance with college tuition to complete Transition to Teaching program or continuing education is also  available. A science endorsement could possibly be added to a current Kansas license by taking and  passing the Praxis test fin a science area which also qualifies for financial assistance. 

Coaching and supplemental positions are available. – (Head & Asst. HS Boys Basketball – Head  & Asst. JH VB – Possible Track positions – Possible baseball or softball positions)

∙ a copy of your current Kansas teaching license or prove your ability to  obtain a Kansas license by August 1, 2022, 

∙ official college transcripts, 

∙ a completed district application.

Interviews will be scheduled and conducted after completed files are received and  references are checked. Position will be filled as soon as a qualified applicant is  available. 

The district is 1:1 with Chrome books for all 6-12 students. Being located in Sumner County, the teachers  have received yearly stipends from the Kansas Star Casino to purchase classroom materials. A great  opportunity in a rural school with great community and BOE support.
