New teachers at Caldwell High School

            Caldwell Middle and High School are excited about the hiring of three new teachers. Two of them have connections to Caldwell and the other is a seasoned veteran. We would like to welcome all three of them to the Caldwell family.


Rachael Strecansky is the new family and consumer science and 8th grade PE teacher. Rachael, her husband Bernie and five daughters live east of Caldwell on a small farm.  Mrs. Strecansky is a graduate of South Haven High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas. She taught previously at Hawkins Middle School in Henderson, Tennessee. She enjoys spending time with her family, sewing and embroidery.Rachael Strecansky







Quinci Hiedeman is the new business teacher at CHS. She is a 2010 alumni of Caldwell High School.  She attended WSU and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She lives in Caldwell with her husband Matt and three children Noah, McKinley and Abraham. She enjoys fishing with her family, watching the food network and walking. Quinci Hiedeman





Bill Welch is the new science teacher at Caldwell High School.  Mr. Welch graduated from Bishop Miege High School in Kansas City in 1981. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Newman University in 1985. He has taught in numerous high schools over his 30 year career including Derby, Wichita North, Mulvane and Bishop Carroll. He is married to his wife Jamie, who is a 6th grade science teacher in Derby Middle School. He and his wife of 35 years have three grown children and one grandchild. Mr. Welch enjoys working out and recreational tree climbing.Bill Welch
