Elementary Principal’s Notes
Mr. Roop 3/14/18
Spring break is near for the Caldwell students and you can feel the excitement in the air. Along with this, in the last month we have had teacher in-service days, Valentines Day Parties, a couple snow days, grandparent’s week, the book fair, the Bluejay Way assembly, the AR party, end of the quarter and parent-teacher conferences.
On February 14th, the elementary students enjoyed Valentines Day by sharing cards and candy and then having classroom parties.
Teachers spent February 19th involved in teacher, in-services as the students enjoyed a day off. It turned out the students missed three days of school this week due to a couple of bad weather days and icy roads.
Between the missed days, grandparents and parents were able to come and enjoy lunch and the book fair with their grandchildren and children.
The entire school was able to celebrate the Bluejay Way Assembly on February 23rd. February students of the month were Lilly Caruthers, Rory Strecansky, Tyler Weber, Mak Blosser, Bruin Mayo and Sarina Pameticky. These students received student of the month for having respectful and responsible behavior, good attendance and exceptional grades.
The students that met their monthly AR goal enjoyed the AR party on March 2nd. Stephanie McCormick led the games for the students.
On March 9th, the students were dismissed at noon for the end of the quarter. Teachers had a ½ day workday to complete grades on this day.
Parent teacher conferences were on March 12th and 13th. There was a good crowd of parents that came to support their students on these nights.
